MS41, MS42 и MS43

Поколението след MS40 предоставя много от възможностите на OBD2 протоколите. Това включва следене на ефективността на катализатора (с втора ламбда сонда) и   Long / Short term Fuel trim (за повече информация кликнете тук) и допълнителни адаптации на гориво-въздушната смес. MS41 се използва при  двигатели серия M52, MS42 при M52TU и MS43 при 4-цилиндровите M43.

OBD2 P-кодовете за грешки не се ползват при автомобилите произведени за европейския пазар, защото все още не са били задължителни по това време.
